Families of ISIS-beheaded soldiers lament sons

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Families of the 18 regime army troops, who were beheaded by the Islamic State group according to video posted online on Sunday, have mourned their sons in their hometowns.

The propaganda of terror carrying by ISIS had tended to show the faces of slain soldiers very clear where their families and Army comrades have recognized them easily, activists said.

Tens of Bashar al-Assad's soldiers and pilots were held in captivity when ISIS took full control of Tabqa air base near Raqqa last August.

ISIS militants said in the same video that they had beheaded American hostage Peter Kassig.

The video did not show the beheading but showed a masked man standing with a decapitated head covered in blood lying at his feet. Speaking in English in a British accent, the man says: "This is Peter Edward Kassig, a U.S. citizen," Reuters reported.
