Zahhar: Israel finds no one better than Abbas, UN workers loot Gaza aid

Reporting by Abdullah Al Ghadawi; Translation by Yusra Ahmed

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Mahmood Zahhar, the prominent figure in the Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS), considered the attack on the Knesset last week that resulted in killing 5 Israelis, a normal outcome for the unacceptable practices of Israelis in the West Bank such demolishing Palestinians' houses, confiscating their lands, and preventing them from praying in al-Quds.

In his talk to Zaman al-Wasl, he condemned the Palestinian Authority’s way of dealing with the Israelis and he expressed his opinion that Israel would move away Mahmood Abbas if he confronted them and insisted on going to the international organizations to work on Palestine’s recognition. “If Israelis found better than him for their benefits, they would replaced him without thinking

Al-Zahhar confessed of the deep and essential disagreement between HAMAS and the Palestinian Authority especially in regard to peace with Israel and resistance, as HAMAS supports resistance as the only way to liberate Palestine, while the Authority considers relies on Peace Talks to return lands.

Despite all that disagreement, we are insisting on staying united and hand in hand, even if we were not able to find common point of view among both of us, we can stay harmonized.”

In a relevant content, HAMAS’s prominent leader accused the Unite Nations of stealing the Palestinians’ aid, as he quoted the confession of UN’s envoy to Gaza, when he said that United Nation cannot supervise the process of re-building Gaza sufficiently and accusing the International organization of using Palestinian tragedy.

In this regard, he added that most the UN’s money is spent as salaries for its employees in Gaza, which could reach to $20 thousand each.

Al-Zahhar ended that Israel is the first beneficiary of the UN’s aid to Gaza, as its companies use the aid for re-building and materials bought from Israel as well. “The crossings need to be re-opened in order to enable Palestinians to rule themselves,” he concluded.
