(Zaman Al Wasl)- Two senior rebel commanders were killed by unknown assassins in Eastern Ghouta suburbs near Damascus, Islam Army and Ummah Army said on Sunday.
Key rebel groups of the embattled Ghouta have mourned two of their prominent commanders after being assassinated by unknown groups, according to statements posted online.
Hassan Raheeb, senior commander of Ummah Army, was killed in Harasta city on Sunday while Yousef Abdul Wahhab, prominent commander of Islam Army, was killed in al-Reihan village near Douma city.
In relevant development, Ali al-Hajji, media activist, was killed in the Palestinian Yarmouk refugee camp by unknown assassin.
The series of assassinations in Eastern Ghouta have marked high rates, 5 commanders were killed this week, activists said.
