Two Massacres in northern Syria

 

The Violation Documentation Centre (VDC) reported targeting the many  villages in Edlib province like Albara, Almaghara, Kafernobul, Basamis and Ihsim, in Jabal Azzawiyah. The VDC confirmed targeting the shops and vehicles that sell and transport fuel to citizens, where the shelling targeted all areas of fuel sellers especially diesel and gasoline, either by explosive barrels or guided highly explosive missiles. 
Albara Massacre

According to an eye witness, who is an activist communication with the centre: “a week ago, a helicopter shelled the centre of the village with an explosive barrels at rush hour in the afternoon, where people gathered to get Ramadan shopping, 5 minutes later, another one was thrown 500 m away from the first, and the FSA warn us not to go to the place because a third is expected to be dropped.” 

The eye witness added that when they went to the place, they found that the barrel targeted a loaded fuel truck that resulted in burning it completely with all people who were inside as well as many civilians, most corpses were found to be charred, while other turned into remains and the smell of burnt flesh filled the air.

“We manage to transfer the 20 wounded to Kansfara and Kafernobul hospitals, while 9 persons were killed” said the activist.

Albara is an archeological village in Jabal Azzawiyah, Edlib governorate, with population of 18 thousand, 34 km to the south west of Edlib city.

Alamagharah massacre

A photographer, who is in contact with the VDC, told what he saw in that massacre: “A huge explosion took place in the village in the evening just minutes before “Iftar”. People first thought it was an explosive barrel, but it was foundto be a highly explosive Russian surface-to surface missile that usually fired from Grad rocket launchers”

The activist carried on describing the seen after the explosion: “the smoke was so thick that we could not see through, where the missile hit a corner of a house and destroyed three other houses, there was a shop and trucks for selling fuel next to the targeted house and all were destroyed while a huge fire started, charred corpses and remains were everywhere, several wounded were thrown away because of the pressure of the explosion”
The explosion resulted more than 20 wounded and 14 martyrs one of the killed was a 6 months pregnant woman, the doctor manage to get the baby girl alive out of the mother, but she died few hours later because the lack of Oxygen.

Alamagharah Is a village in Jabal Azzawiyah, few km from Albara village and 27 km from Edlib city center, it has an archeological Roman cemetery goes back to the year 246 A.D.
