Syrian refugees demand support of Interim government: Sit-in

GAZIANTEP (Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian refugees in Gaziantep who fled the Eastern region of Syria have organized a sit-in in front of the Interim Government’s Headquarters, demanding more affective role to support displaced people.

Zaman al-Wasl correspondent mentioned that the protestors demanded the Government to review the employment criteria within the government and its offices and demanded it to relay on experience and skills, not other considerations like relationships and complementary in employing.

People put more demands in writing and hand the paper to a Government’s member before voluntarily finishing the sit-in.

Our correspondent mentioned that people demanded securing the Free Syrian Army’s members who withdrew from the Eastern Region after controlling it by the Islamic State in suitable camps.

People expressed their rejection to National Coalition and the Interim Government and their representation of the Eastern Region, and demanded changing them because they failed in their duties, and showed irresponsibility towards the displaced people.

Moreover, protestors demanded forming a committee of people from Deir Ezzor to supervise the monthly distributing of the financial and relief quotas in order to ensure deliver them to people in need.
