(Zaman Al Wasl)- The Interim Prime Minister, Ahmed Tomeh, confirms that legal renewal stickers are available in the Coalition’s Embassy in Doha, as those stickers are recognized by the National Coalition and the Interim Government and other countries.
In his statement to Zaman al-Wasl, he details that the National Coalition’s Embassy in Doha, is the authorized body to renew Syrians’ passports, where priority would be for syrians in Qatar, then the Gulf countries, then residents in other countries.
He mentions that the National Coalition’s Embassy with the help of Qatar, have worked hard for months to obtain those official stickers.
Tomeh reveals that ongoing effort the Interim Government to be able to issue Syrian passports, internationally recognized. He mentions that renewal would start within 2 weeks.
The Interim Prime Minister expressed his appreciation of Qatar to provide needed machines to enable the Coalition’s Embassy to do the job. He confirms that Embassy has a machine to discover forged passports.
According to Zaman al-Wasl information, there are hundreds of thousands of renewal stickers, similar to those used by the Syrian regime, available in the Coalition’s Headquarter in Turkey, but no information yet about the way to coordinate between the two renewal systems.
