Ahrar Al Sham leader commends rebels' victories in Idlib, warns of truces

(Zaman Al Wasl)-  The Head of key Islamist group Ahrar al-Sham movement has refused all initiatives for truce and reconciliation with the Syrian regime, preferring to reply in the same way of Wadi al-Dief and al-Hamidiyah.

Sheikh Hashim al-Sheikh, the Head of Ahrar al-Sham, declared via a recorded message surfaced on the internet on Wednesday that they would not go of any truce or reconciliation with the regime.

He started his speech by glorifying Syrian people and congratulating them over the victory ofWadi al-Deif and al-Hamidiyah two days ago. He indirectly hinted that almost 2000 fighters were killed in the battles.

In his speech, he considered any acceptance of a solution did not condition overthrowing Bashar al-Assad, would be a betrayal to martyrs, bereaved and orphans.

Sheikh al-Sheikh directed his words to people who initiate truces and treaties, ignoring the number of dead and injured people besides the disabled and displaced saying:”we would reply like we did in Wadi al-Deif and al-Hamidiyah”

The Head of Ahrar al-Sham requested honest people to work hard to find a safe zone, where people under threat can shelter in without fearing of regime.
