Assad establishes an Islamic fund to collect money

 Bashar al-Assad had issued on Tuesday a legislative decree to establish an Islamic fund affiliated to the Ministry of religious endowments, called (al-Zakat)to encourage the charity in the holy month, the regime news agency (SANA) reported.

The fund enjoys financial and administrative independence and provides for the fair distribution of al-Zakat to the beneficiaries according to the bases of the Islamic Sharia in order to achieve an inclusive and cohesive society. The fund is exempted from different kinds of taxes and fees, the decree addressed.
