Rebels fear ISIS can control south of Syria, call to eliminate loyalists

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Free Syrian Army and al-Qaeda’s Syria wing al-Nusra Front in Western Countryside of Daraa province, agreed to eliminate any loyal ideology to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria in the south, amid fears of repeating Scenario of the Northern and Eastern of Syria where IS has controlled swaths of territory .

The decision came after “Yarmouk's Martyrs Brigade”, sworn allegiance to the Islamic State (IS).

Al-Nusra Front and the Free Syrian Army took a decision to act immediately to eradicate the Islamic State’s ideology from Horan, otherwise, a month delay could lead to falling of Horan under Islamic State’s control.

Sources reported that Mohammed Saad-Eddin al-Baridi, started getting help from ideologists of the Islamic State came from Northern and Eastern Syria.

The source detailed that conflict between the Free Syrian Army and Yarmouk Martyrs’ Brigade first started indirectly, then it was obvious after the Brigade rejected joining the United Court "Justice House", where all battalions agreed on it. Then the Brigade started collecting arms, like heavy arms and vehicle, cannons, mortars, and Anti-craft missiles, besides hiding arms obtained from Assad military base, Brigade 112, and Russian anti-aircraft rockets.

“In fact al-Baridi is just cover for bigger formation under supervision of Abo Obaida al-Kahtani, Palestinian from Jordan, who is the real leader of Yarmouk’s Martyrs Brigades” the source detailed.

Eye-witnesses confirmed that severe battles between the Brigade and Nusra Front in villages of Saham, Nafya and al-Shajara where many fighters were killed and wounded from both sides, among them al-Jazawi, the Shariah responsible of Nusra Front.

Sources confirmed that Nusra Front led the battles, with help of Free Syrian Army.

Some information about attempts to stop fighting between the two parties, on condition that Yarmouk’s Martyrs Brigade hand some of its leaders to the United Court “Justice House” and Nusra Front hand some leaders as well to judge the conflict and reasons behind it. But “yarmouk” raised its demands, when it requested handing Abo Maria al-Qahtani, Abo Jalibib and Sami al-Aaridi, to hand al-Baridi and Kahtan themselves to the court in return.
