(Zaman Al Wasl)- A new military alliance within a week has been formed in Syrian south by three rebel groups, according to video statement.
Col. Saber Safar, commander of newly-formed First Army, said to Zaman al-Wasl, “Our mission to continue our liberation battles in Daraa and al-Quneirta provinces.
Safar said 10 thousand fighters have merged now in one armed group where our goal is to be more organized, more equipped in order to fight Bashar al-Assad’s forces under the umbrella of Southern Front, main rebel group.
Last Friday, Col. Mohamed Dehni, Free Syrian Army commander, said the four rebel groups had signed a mutual defense pact and had agreed to form unified military command.
Dehni who leads ’18 March’ Division assured that 'Suqour al-Janoub' alliance had become the biggest rebel entity in Daraa province in regard to arms and fighters.
In relevant context, rebel factions of the embattled neighborhood of Jobar in Damascus have also merged in one armed group called it ‘Jond al-Assemah’(En: Soldiers of The Capital), according to statement posted online.
