Two Ummah Army commanders killed

(Zaman Al Wasl) – Two rebel commanders killed by unknown gunman on Friday in Harasta city near Damascus.

Hisham Mahfouz, commander of Dera’a al-Rasoul battalion, and Imad al-Barhamji, commander of al-Bashir batallion, were assassinated hours after joining Ummah Army, the rebel group which is active in Eastern Ghouta suburbs.

Barhamji was famous for his brave heart and great talent as Tank striker by his RPG (rocket-propelled grenade). Activists circulated on the internet a video for him targeting Syrian regime’s tank.

Activists say many commanders of Ummah Army and Islam Army have been killed by unknown gunmen in the last few months, but Assassins identity still anonymous.
