(Zaman Al Wasl) – Commander of Islam Army said via his official Twitter account that two Syrian fighter jets have been downed by his fighters on Sunday in rebel-held city of Douma near Damascus.
Zahran Alloush said Bashar al-Assad’s warplanes were conducting raids trying to support his rival armed group al-Ummah Army.
Early Sunday, Islam Army fighters in a sudden attack have stormed strongholds of Ummah Army in Douma city, killing and arresting most of its fighters, according to statement posted online.
Alloush accused fighters of Ummah army of drug abuse, blaspheme and carrying out other assaults against jihadists of Douma.
The statement said all bases of Ummah Army turned to be under rebels control without further information about the destiny of Abu Subhi Taha, commander of Ummah Army.
