Explosive device kills FSA colonel in Atmeh- Idlib

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Prominent Syrian Army defector killed on Sunday when an explosive device was detonated near his car in Atemh town on the Turkish border.

Mohib Omar al-Jadaan was a Colonel pilot in Syrian air force before defecting over his refusal to conduct raids on his Syrian people, activists said.

Mohib Jadaan, known as Mohib Hamdo, was born in well-known Kafranbel town in Idlib countryside. He was one of the first defected pilots from the Syrian Army as he rejected to bomb the city of Atama, and then defected and found a refuge in the city after he was called for investigation.

He joined ground forces’ brigade 101 which is part of the 7th brigade, situated in Idlib. He led many battles against the Syrian regime, he was known of his courage, honesty and good reputation. He was detained for a while by the Islamic State.
