(Zaman Al Wasl)- The newly-formed rebel group al-Shamiya Front on Monday pressed slow advances north of Aleppo, killing 20 troops loyal to Bashar al-Assad and taking control of strategic district near the main entrance of the city.
Field sources told Zaman al-Wasl that Islamist rebels led by al-Shamiya Front had seized Majbal al-Braij area after fierce fighting with Assad forces backed by Shiite militias.
