(Zaman Al Wasl)- Key rebel group al-Shamiya Front on Tuesday made more progress north of Aleppo, taking control of al-Mayyasat hill day after capturing strategic Majbal al-Braij district.
Field sources
told Zaman al-Wasl that Islamist rebels led by al-Shamiya Front had seized al-Mayyasat
hill on Tuesday after heavy fighting with Bashar al-Assad forces backed by Shiite
militias.
Activists say 100 fighters of Syrian regime forces have been killed in recent few days.
Meanwhile, rebels are planning to seize control of industrial zone of Sheikh
Najjar and to head Aleppo’s central prison to break two-year-old siege.
