(Zaman Al Wasl)- Rebels of the embattled Eastern Ghouta suburbs, in statement issued on Wednesday, insisted on the planned truce with Syrian regime to open a humanitarian corridor to the Town of Erbin, accusing the Nusra Front of hindering the agreement.
The statement was signed by many military battalions in Erbin: Sunni Soldiers battalion which follows the Islam army; Alsham Battalions which follow the Islamic Union; Om al-Kora Battalion and Order keeping Battalion in Erbin.
The statement described the bad effects of the siege on al-Ghouta, and demanded opening a humanitarian corridor under 4 conditions: ceasing fire, mining the roads, establishing a barrier for regime and another for the rebels, and lastly opening the corridor and let food in.
The Syrian conflict began as a peaceful movement that morphed into a civil war that has killed more than 200,000 people and forced half the population to flee their homes.
