Hasakah (Zaman Al Wasl)- Democratic Union Party “PYD” has arrested 500 youth in Malikiah, Eastern Hasakah within two days, as a part of the mandatory military recruiting in their battalions.
Mahmood al-Ahmad, an activist, confirmed to Zaman al-Wasl that PYD’s barriers in the town of Ma'abada have arrested more than 100 youth and transferred them to Tal-Adas battalion, the Party’s training camp, then the campaign expanded to capture more youth.
Al-Ahmad said that PYD had announced earlier a decision to recruit young men in areas under their control, and the decision was implemented in 20 January 2015.
The activist added that PYd’s militias have arrested many people in the village of Ali-Kamish after seige for many hours, claiming that masked people shot them and run away to the village. “it is the second Kurdish village in Yarobiya area, where Khirka tribe settles, get harassed by the PYD’s militias”
In the same time, PYD’s militias raided many areas in Ras al-Ain and arrested many people accusing them of working to regime’s battalions.
To the East of Hasakah, a massacre in the village of al-Khansaa was committed by regime’s air strikes, where 80 civilians were killed and dozens wounded, when a livestock market was targeted.
