Islam Army rockets hit Damascus suburbs, 5 killed

 (Zaman Al Wasl)- Islam Army group on Sunday has pounded Syrian regime strongholds in Damascus by rockets and mortar fire, five people killed, activists say.

Zaharan Alloush, the commander of the Islamist faction which controls Eastern Ghouta suburbs, vowed in statement posted online on Friday to storm the Syrian capital by missiles he controlled from Syrian air defense forces, demanding ‘Muslims, to stay at home and not going to their work.

Alloush said "I will not attack mosques, churches and schools."

Meantime, activists reported 38 rockets until now, two of it hit Kafr Sousa suburb near regime’s intelligence headquarters.

‘’Alloush’s reprieve ended on Sunday, ‘’so he fulfilled his promise,’’ opposition activists said on social media.

The Syrian crisis began nearly four years ago with an uprising against Bashar al-Assad and then turned into a civil war. So far, 220,000 people have been killed.
