(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syria’s rebels Tuesday have made advances northeast of Aleppo, taking control of al-Mayyasat hill amid reports of dozens killed and 14 arrested, activists say.
Rebel feeds on social media said the recent advance is very effective gain as rebels have foiled regime attempts to surround the war-torn city of Aleppo after fierce fighting.
Meanwhile, rebels intend to capture the next-door
strategic district of al-Braij and Sheikh Najjar Industrial city. A step can
set regime’s alarm bells, activists said.
More than 220,000 people have been killed since the conflict in Syria erupted in March 2011.
