Islam Army Commander to launch new offensive on Damascus by Wednesday

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Islam Army commander, who pounded Syria’s capital by 100 rockets and killed 15 last week, has announced a new offensive to start by Wednesday, saying Damascus is “a military zone,” according to statement posted online.

Zahran Alloush demanded all Schools and University students besides diplomatic missions to avoid regime’s security headquarters, checkpoints and barracks.

"The offensive will start on February 4 and ends until further notice," Alloush said.

More than 220,000 people have been killed since the conflict in Syria erupted in March 2011.
