In a sudden demand, the Supreme Council for the Leadership of the Syrian Revolution asked the half of the coalition seats in reply to the fragile status of coalition and the weakness they had showed in representing the revolution inside Syria and in the international side.
Another reason is the 5-days-arguing to expand the coalition members. The revolutionary movement where the council is one of it, said in statement, yesterday, that ''the expanding membership in the SC no more than a feeble attempt to add persons and groups that have no real impact on the revolution, and we reject this attempt”. The statement described itself as a “final warning” -presumably of the groups’ intent to leave the umbrella of the SNC.
Major General Salim Idris demanded early this month according to Zaman-Alwasl the same portion to participate in the interim government.
