Rebels say regime-held areas of Daraa target for shelling

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Free Syrian Army Wednesday said that regime-held areas of Daraa province will be considered as a military zone by next Saturday, and a target for their shelling. 

The statement of the loose-knit nationalist group followed a similar statement issued on Tuesday by Zahran Alloush, Islam Army commander, who also said, “Damascus is a military zone by Wednesday."

Alloush, who pounded the Syrian capital by 100 rockets and killed 15 last week, had demanded all Schools and University students besides diplomatic missions to avoid regime’s security headquarters, checkpoints and barracks.

Both FSA and Islam Army said Damascus and Daraa to remain a military zone until further notice.

More than 220,000 people have been killed since the conflict in Syria erupted in March 2011.
