(Zaman Al Wasl)- Ahmed Shehadeh al-Shanwan, the torture’s victim appeared in picture 29 of Zaman al-Wasl publications showed victims’ images obtained from Mezzah Military Hospital.
Shehadeh is an Electronic Engineer was arrested by the Air Forces intelligence while he was transporting Homsi people from Sayyeda Zainab to Jordanian boarders late 2011 to lose all connection with him later, but in the end they were able to recognize him among photos of prisoners killed under torture Zaman al-Wasl published few days ago.
The victim’s nephew spoke on condition of anonymity about his uncle’s arresting: “my uncle was in his way from Dara’a to Jordan giving a lift to some people from Homs, when clashes among the Syrian regime’s forces and the Free Syrian Army to result in injuring his uncle. Afterward he and all who were with him in the van were arrested”
The nephew mentioned that they were not able to hear any news about the uncle for 8 months, till a man informed them that he was with him in Adra prison, but the man refused to add any details about the circumstances of arresting or if he was tortured or not.
“the only time we were able to see him after he went missing was among pictures Zaman al-Wasl has published, as we easily recognized him from his eyes and front.
“we did everything to reach for news about my uncle, but all went in vain, even when the lawyer we gave a power of attorney to look for my uncle to arrange a visit, lied to us” nephew detailed.
The victim was a husband of three, had 3 sons and a daughter, besides two arrested brothers.
Zaman al-Wasl has few days ago published dozens of pictures of victims killed under torture, were photos were taken in Mezzah Military Hospital by an officer called Caesar.
Qaisar managed to take 50 thousand pictures of 12 thousand victims, then he run away and left Syria with pictures he took. However the international community did nothing against this crime which called the “Century crime.”
