Rebels kill Islamic State's Emir in Eastern Ghouta: statement


  (Zaman Al Wasl)- Failaq al-Rahman said the Islamic State’s Emir in the Eastern Ghouta district of Damascus has been killed in Saqba suburb on Wednesday, according to statement posted online by the rebel group.

Failaq al-Rahman’s spokesman, Mohamed Abu kamal, told Zaman al-Wasl that Abu Mohamed al-Tunisi, a Tunisian Jihadist, was killed when the rebel group fighters stormed a secret base belongs to the radical Islamic State (ISIS) in Saqba.

The embattled suburbs of Damascus have the least presence for ISIS among Syrian territory since most of the Islamist rebels have repelled factions loyal to the extremist group. Besides, the difficulties of penetration to Ghouta by foreign jihadists who shape the back bone of ISIS.
