Opposition to vote on two diplomats, politician to head Coalition embassy in Qatar

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syria's opposition group the National Coalition has nominated three figures to head its embassy in Qatar, two weeks after dismissing of Nizar al-Heraki.

According to Zaman al-Wasl, NC's general commission will vote this week on Lamiaa al-Hariri, former head of Syrian diplomatic mission to Cyprus, and Abdul Latif al-Sabbagh, former Ambassador. Al-Hariri and Sabbagh (Wife and Husband) defected Syrian regime in 2012 and now live in Qatar.

The third nominee is Louai Safi, academic and prominent opposition figure based in Washington.

Meanwhile, Coalition’s members who opposed al-Heraki dismissal will also vote on the appeal decision, saying we should give (him) another chance after the controversial case of passports renewing in the last few months.
