DAMASCUS (Zaman Al Wasl)- Yarmouk camp Syrian regime is since the beginning of the Syrian revolution trying to use Syrian people to kill each other especially in liberated areas, by recruiting immoral figures to fight their own people. National Defence forces, Wafa Army and Popular Committees and other formations are examples of those attempts.
“Yarmouk Brigade” is the latest version of such attempts, but by Palestinian people, aims to suppress people in Yarmouk Camp for Palestinian refugees and return it to regime’s control. It is not strange, as many Palestinian groups have cooperated with regime to harden the siege on the camp and prevent food even water from getting in.
“Yarmouk Brigade has failed even
before start”, Abo Ahmad Moshir, the leader of Aknaf Bait al-Maqdis, the
biggest anti-regime formation in Yarrmouk camp, told Zaman al-Wasl.
The leader added that pro-regime Palestinian formation had started to get annoyed and bored from the situation in Yarmouk, even hundreds of their members and leaders had left the country, like “Abo Zahra” the Military Leader of Fatah Intiada” who left to Turkey then to Italy.
Aknaf Bait al-Maqdis’s leader explains that idea of Yarmouk Brigade was created by Anwar Abdul-Hadi, the Ambassador of the Palestinian Authority in Damascus when the regime release Palestinian detainees in January this year to recruit them in the Brigade.
Moshir added that abdul-Hadi wanted to gain personal benefits from forming the brigade, besides regaining the influence of “Fatah” in Yarmouk. “He wanted to copy Quds Brigade in Hindarat camp in Aleppo, and Jalil Brigade in Khan-Esheikh” Ahmad Mushir explained that reasons behind the failing of Yarmouk Brigade was the awareness of Palestinian people in the camp as they were realising that regime and its forces who siege them and prevent them of essential living needs.
In the end the leader sarcastically mentioned that Yarmouk Brigade has been only active on facebook, as their organisers beg to recruit people in the brigade claiming they would help Palestinians to return to Yarmouk camp.
