Turkish military enters Syria to remove tomb in exclave

Turkish forces and tanks have entered Syria on Saturday night to remove the tomb of Suleyman Shah, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and armed forces confirm.

The operation has been completed successfully and the special forces unit that protects the exclave has returned to the homeland, Davutoglu said on Sunday morning.

One soldier died in accident at the onset of the operation, but there was no skirmish or other interruption, he said.
