(Zaman Al Wasl)- Two civilians killed and 25 militants arrested in Islam Army’s raid on Islamic State’s stronghold in the embattled Eastern Ghouta Suburbs on Tuesday, Zaman al-Wasl reporter said.
The joint-raid of Islam Army and the Unified Command has targeted what they called a cell works for the Islamic State radical group in Kafr Batna suburb. 25 militants were arrested as two civilians were killed due to the counter attack, the reporter said.
The funeral of the two victims turned to a protest as the 2000 mourners chant slogans condemning Islam Army’s act, demanding to hold the perpetrators to accountability.
Zahran Alloush, the commander of the key rebels group that control most of Eastern Ghouta suburbs, has launched fierce campaign against ISIS strongholds in the last few months even it warned rebels of forming any other factions.
