Assad forces close main crossing of Moadamiyet al-Sham, activists warn of crisis

 (Zaman Al Wasl)- Activists warned of an imminent humanitarian crisis in the embattled city of Moadamiyet al-Sham if Syrian regime forces will not open the main crossing point to Damascus in a breach to a truce reached in 2013.

Moadamiyet al-Sham's media center told Zaman al-Wasl that 50.000 people might face a real humanitarian crisis if the siege imposed last week continues.

Bashar al-Assad's forces closed the only crossing point when people of the city refused to cooperate with state-run media, activists said. "People have expelled the journalists, accusing them of fabricating news and defaming the revolution," they said.

The center warned of repeating the siege tragedy that the city had witnessed before the truce signed in 2013.
