(Zaman Al Wasl)- Senior Commander of Suqour al-Sham brigades has escaped an assassination attempt when a militant group planted an explosive device in his car in Idlib countryside, rebel news feeds reported.
Bassam al-Ayyashi, A Syrian-French jihadist, (dubbed: Sheikh al-Mujahideen) has lost his hand in the Assassination attempt in Arab Said village in rebel-held Idlib countryside, Abu Issa al-Sheikh, General Commander of Suqour al-Sham said.
Al-Ayyashi was accused of recruiting foreign jihadists, especially from France and Belgium.
'Sheikh al-Mujahideen' has lost his son in 2013 in battles against Bashar al-Asaad forces in Idlib.
