(Zaman Al Wasl) - The Islamic State fighters on Friday have destroyed a part of Jarabulus bridge north Syria to cut a supply route as battles intensify with Kurdish armed groups in strategic areas near the Iraqi and Turkish borders, activists said.
The Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) and its allied Peshmerga group have targeted ISIS strongholds in Jarabulus town what pushed the radical group to destroy the vital bridge that links Kurdish villages located on Euphrates River.
Jarabulus is administratively belonging to Aleppo province and lies on the western bank of the river Euphrates.
