Idlib: Islamist rebels thwart attack on Bruma farms

 Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement and al-Qared Syria’s wing, the Nusra Front, have thwarted a surprise attack launched by forces loyal to Bashar al-Assad on Bruma farms in Idlib countryside, rebel source said Tuesday.

 Zaman al-Wasl reporter said Islamist rebels have also held captive two militants were wounded during the 5-hour fight in the farms of Bruma town near the Shiite villages of Kafriya and al-Fou'a.

Ahrar al-Sham and the Nusra Front are the mainstream armed opposition in Idlib countryside since it had been liberated from Syrian regime in 2012.
