Ahrar al-Sham Islamic movement has recognized the body of one of its commanders among mass torture photos revealed  by 'Caesar' who leaked 55,ooo for Syrian detainees tortured to death in Bashar al-Assad security departments between 2012 and 2013.

The key rebel group said the photo is belonged to Bara’a Maniyah, also known as Abu Abdulbar, former commander in Damascus suburbs.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights, in report issued last September, said at least 215,000 people were arrested by Syrian security since the revolution erupted in March 2011. (4,500 of them are women and 9,000 are less than 18).

According to the report, 2630 detainees were tortured to death, and 70,000 cases documented as enforced disappearance.

Two years ago, regime arrested Abdulbar then no news was available about him, till he appeared in one of Caesar’s leaked photos which confirmed its death under torture. Abu Abdulbar was detained before in Sidnaya prison, where his sight was badly affected because of torture, but this time it seems that his eyes were taken off.

During 8 months before his second arrest, Abu Abdulbar worked hard to form Ahrar al-Sham’s battalions in Damascus and its countryside.

Abu Abdulbar was the first leader to be recognized form Caesar’s leaked photo, the atrocious photos of mass torture by Syrian security, those had been taken in hospital 601, the well-known military hospital in Mezzah neighborhood of Damascus.

Photos illustrate apparent actions of serious international crimes committed in the chambers of security services against 11,000 detainees, according to human rights advocates.

In mid 2013, a team of war crimes prosecutors and forensic experts, had analyzed 55 thousand digital photos taken and provided by a Syrian army defector (Dubbed: Caesar), who was a photographer worked with the Syrian military police to take pictures of killed detainees, and document the corpses.

Meanwhile, Caesar with his family live in a secret location outside Syria.
