French University to provide scholarships for the top students at baccalaureate in Liberated Syria, an official source said
The French Strasbourg University will provide 4 scholarships for the top students at baccalaureate of 2013 in Liberated Syria, an official source in the local council of Aleppo told Zaman Alwasl.
The source pointed out that the
French government will be send academic delegates as observers to follow the
exams process, which will be covered by French media.
''I received a call from an official
at the French Foreign Ministry on Friday, confirming the scholarships, the
source said.
The preparations for the first baccalaureate
is still going on which will start in 15 August under the surveillance of new
exams directorate in the liberated areas.
More than 2800 students will do their
exams in Aleppo city, the source said.
The source expected that the Syrian
Baccalaureate will be certified internationally, as much as we approve that our
exams are applicable to the high standards of fairness, accuracy, and under the
supervision of the Directorate of Examinations.
The University of Strasbourg in
Strasbourg, Alsace, France, is the second largest university in France, with
about 43,000 students and over 4,000 researchers.
