Mortar bombs kill 5 in Mashhed, Aleppo suburbs

 Fierce shelling on al-Mashhed neighborhood in the city of Aleppo had killed 5 people at least and dozens wounded, local sources reported to Zaman Alwasl.

According to activists there's no armed presence in the neighborhood which is dedicated to the relief work only.

The other neighboring area of Aleppo were pounded by Assad's mortar bombs and artillery 

In relevant development, Jabhat al-Nusra and the Islamic State of Iraq have taken over the town of Tal'eran, Reef Aleppo, while rebels still surrounding the village of Tel Hasel, Human Rights observatory said.

ISIS and al-Nusra kidnapped so far more than 200 civilians from the two towns. They also went on looting and destruction of property in Tel'eran. The observatory revealed.

''2 men and 6 rebels from Liwa' Jabhat al-Akrad were killed by the jihadists in Tel'eran.''

 Syria's conflict began in March 2011 largely as peaceful protests against Assad's rule. It escalated into a civil war after opposition supporters took up arms to fight a brutal government crackdown on dissent.

More than 100,000 people have been killed in the conflict, according to the U.N.'s recent estimate.
