Head of National Coalition to visit Doha Tuesday

Head of Syrian opposition's the National Coalition to visit Doha Tuesday in an effort to mobilize support after decline, a well-informed source told Zaman al-Wasl.

Mr. Khaled Khoja will visit Qatar for the first time since he was elected as a head of the Western-backed group early 2015.

Mr. Ahmed Toumeh, Prime Minister of the Interim Government, will be with Khoja, source said.

Qatar is a key supporter for the National Coalition since its founding in 2012 in Doha.

The Coalition's visit comes as support of the International Community rapidly declined what makes the Coalition face to face with a severe financial crisis and on the edge of bankruptcy.

Last Saturday, Dr. Hosam Hafez, Head of the diplomatic and foreign relations in the interim government has resigned with two staff, sources told Zaman al-Wasl. Coalition's government has witnessed a high scale of resignations during the last few months due to lack of funds.

The source said that Hafez resigned at the request of Toumeh who also refused to renew contracts for 200 employees in the government.
