Pro-Islamic State website said Syrian fighter who carried out a suicide attack on rivals of the hardline group in Kirkuk north of Iraq days ago.

'Welayyet Kirkuk' website posted photo of Abu Qatada al-Jablawi who allegedly carried out the suicide attack on Bisher village near the oil-rich city of Kirkuk on April 18.

News reached to people in the Syrian coastal city of Jebleh says a person of the city had performed an explosion in Iraq without any other details about the place and the person.

Later it was found that person was a 19-year old young man from Jebleh who moved with his friend to the Islamic State’s territories after defecting from Eziddin al-Qassam Battalion, part of Ahrar al-Sham in Latakia.

A well-informed source talked on condition of anonymity revealed that al-Jablawi had joined Eziddin al-Qassam Battalion in Jabal al-Turkmen in Latakia when he was 16 years old, but he was sent to Turkey to accompany the wounded because the Battalion policy prevented the under-age from joining it.
The source confirmed that months later, Abu Qatada returned to Latakia to do non-fighting work like guarding a store, distributing food or guarding the fire-lines between the Battalion and regime.

Abu Qatada stayed with Eziddin al-Qassam’s Battalion which sworn allegiance to Ahrar al-Sham, then he defected from both of them with a military commander and other members with their light and medium arms and two cars to support rebels in Hama. However the commander followed the road leading to the Islamic State and gave the members choice to carry on with him or return to the battalion” according to the source.

4 months after joining the Islamic State, news came from Iraq mentioning that Abu Qatada had performed a suicide operation among the Islamic State's enemies, but no details available if they were Kurds or from the Shiite Popular crowd .

Kirkuk State’s website published many images of so called Abu Qatada driving a car full of explosives attached to igniting wires and other photos of the explosion claimed to be in Bisher village in Kirkuk.
