At least 18 detainees were massacred by the Syrian military intelligence in the northwestern town Jisr al-Shughour in Idlib province on Saturday, hours before the command of Syrian regime army and security units withdrew towards Latakia, activists and monitoring group said.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights said Bashar al-Assad's military intelligence has killed 18 detainees in Jisr al-Shughour before they fled the town that seized by the conservative Islamic factions, including the al-Qaida-affiliated Nusra Front.
According to reports from activists, the command of Syrian army and security units withdrew towards Latakia province in the early Saturday after fighters advanced in the neighbourhoods of the city.
