Bashar al-Assad's air force has continued the fiercest aerial campaign in months on rebel-held Aleppo and Idlib in response to the remarkable advances achieved by an alliance of Islamist factions called itself ' Fatah Army',  a reference to the conquests that spread Islam across the Middle East from the 7th century.

Activists also reported that 57 Syrian regime fighters were killed on Wednesday in al-Jadida district in the Old City of Aleppo when rebel stormed their building by local-made shells led to to huge explosion.

Meanwhile, Fatah Army on Wednesday has seized control of al-Joma military base, pressing hard to capture the own of Ariha and al-Mastoma camp, activists said.

Rebels, who captured Jisr al-Shughour town early this week, seek a complete-liberated province of Idlib, such a mission that seems not impossible.

Syria's four-year-old war has killed more than 220,000 people and forced millions out of their homes.
