Around 1,000
members of the Pakistani Taliban have been killed in clashes near the
Syrian capital city of Damascus, according to Press TV, the Iranian English
news channel.
''It's
an exaggeration to amount of Jihaddist in Syria'' Activist said to
Zaman-Alwasl, ''That propaganda serves the Iranian interests in Syria and to
legitimize the military intervention of Hezbollah, the armed wing of Iran.
According to recent reports, the bodies of the
Pakistani Taliban members, who were killed during battles around Syria’s
International Airport near Damascus, have been buried in mass graves.
Reports further indicate that the families of
those Pakistani Salafists sent into Syria have been staging demonstrations,
calling on the Pakistani government to provide information on their
whereabouts.

Pakistani woman tweeted on twitter earlier today.
on the other side, a Facebook page
was created in solidarity with Syrian people and its revolution. the page is
translating the YouTube videos of killing by Assad's army and its Shabiha. Also,
they posting the photos with emotional narration.
''We
support our Syrian brothers in their Islamic revolution. we are with you.'' Prince
Romeo commented on the page.
Many Salafists from Pakistan have
been illegally sent into Syria through the Saudi and Qatari intelligence
services.
A recent UN report has revealed that militants
from 29 countries have so far filtered into Syria to fight against Assad's
regime, most of whom are extremist Salafists.
