FSA mourns senior commander killed in Aleppo

Free Syrian Army mourned Friday a prominent commander reportedly killed by Syrian forces on Aleppo's battlefront northern Syria.

Division 16, rebel group active in Aleppo city, said its field commander Khaled al-Hayani was killed during an attack launched by the group on government-held Dawwar Shehan district.

Activists said al-Hayyan was a controversial commander due to piled complaints on breaches he committed against civilians in areas he controlled. Some say he was avoiding any engagement with Bashar al-Assad's forces while others say he was a brave and stubborn fighter.
