Video: People of rebel-held Aleppo defy war, find space for joy

(Reporting by Ahmad Primo; Translation by Yusra Ahmed)

Despite classifying Aleppo as the most dangerous city in the world last year, Alabi people still do their best to enjoy their time and lead as normal life as possible.

Summer time used to be the season for trips, parties, meals and barbecue for people in Aleppo, and still so despite the falling barrel bombs, and shelling most time of the days.

Days ago, people of old Aleppo attended a wedding party for a young man of the Aqyol neighborhood, only 200 meters away from the fire-line with the regime's forces, and attendees confronted the regime and kept celebrating despite hitting the invitees cars at the entrance of the neighborhood by the regime's forces.

Aleppo has been divided since the rebels captured large areas of the city in an offensive in the summer of 2012.

Syria's four-year conflict began as popular protests against four decades of Assad family rule, but changed into armed insurgency under a security force crackdown.
Now Syria is in a full-scale civil war that has killed more than 220,000 people and forced over 6 million - more than a quarter of the population - to flee their homes.

Aleppo is subject to continuous strikes of "barrel-bombs" which usually dropped from helicopters and caused significant injuries, death and casualties, as well as huge destruction of buildings.

It worth mentioning that regime’s media has adopted the conspiracy theory and fighting terrorists to refer to the Syrian Revolution and used that claim to cover the big scale of death and killing committed by regime's forces.
