12 people, including 4 sisters, killed in regime air strikes on Dumeir town east of Damascus

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime stepped up Tuesday its fierce aerial campaign on the desert city of Dumeir eastern Damascus, killing at least 12 people, including family of five members, activists said.

At least 60 air strikes were conducted by regime fighter jets on the eastern neighborhoods that left a father and his four daughters dead.

 8 rebel fighters, who had links with Isis,
were also killed, according to the activists.

The calm battle-front of Dumeir since 2012 was flared up again on Monday when 'Rejal al-Malahem Battalion, an-Islamic State-linked group, attacked the powerful Dumeir military airport and strategic ballistic missile base.

The town's Shariah commission urged in statement all rebel factions to expel ISIS fighters in order to escape an imminent death and destruction by regime.

Tens of families fled the northern and eastern neighborhoods that in control of Isis on Tuesday.

Dumeir's fragile 3-year-old truce enabled 150,000 refugees, who fled Eastern Ghouta suburbs, Aleppo, Homs and Hama, to enjoy stability despite deteriorating live conditions.

More than 400,000 Syrians have been killed and nearly half of all Syrians have been forced from their homes in the years-long conflict, according to the Syrian monitoring groups
