(Zaman Al Wasl)- Two security personnel were injured on Saturday near Haroun in the city of Latakia when an unknown person threw grenade on their patrol car and escaped with those passing through the roundabout watching on, according to pro-regime pages.
It was reported that civilians caught the person who threw the grenade in Om Ibrahim neighborhood close by, and he was wearing an explosive belt “that he had yet to explode it.”
The story as the regime media reported it did not convince many and they saw in it the misdirection that hides goals which many did not want to discuss. The lawyer Suleiman Hassoun said, “what happened today and the previous bombings holds the marks of the regime, or indicates an intentional facilitation to cause a ruckus in the ranks of supporters that keeps them in a constant state of alert.”
Hassoun mocked the regime’s media’s story indicating that the terrorist provided with the explosive belt, “is a person ready to explode himself, and he does not allow himself to be caught,” and wondered, “we are fed up of lies, it was previously announced that a terrorist with an explosive belt was caught in Jableh, for it to then emerge that he is a soldier in the regime ranks and does not carry an explosive belt.”
Hassoun said “what are these terrorists who leave the regime to arrest them, are they stupid to that degree or they are actors the regime’s security forces prepared to scare its supporters?”
Last month, the cities of Jableh and Tartus witnessed explosions that led to hundreds of deaths. Latakia city witnessed the killing of civilians by memebrs of al-Da’atur checkpoint last week in which the regime accused terrorists whereas the pro-regime pages did not hide their knowledge that it was a regime operation and was executed for multiple reasons.
The page Tartus News suggested following the explosions in the city a line of questioning considered by followers as courageous, “how could suicide bombers pass through tens of checkpoints before arriving to Jableh and Tartus?” and it answered its question, “either buying security and military personnel is easy with money or orders given were given to them from parties to facilitate the passage of the suicide bombers.”
But the question and answer were deleted in less than 15 minutes from the time is was posted.
