(Zaman Al Wasl)-People in rebel-held areas sleep and wake up on the sounds of air strikes by the Syrian and Russian. Even they many times sleep and do not know if the light would come out and they still alive, Yusuf Khoja, a tailor for Aleppo described his daily life in Aleppo.
He added that he does know if his kids would be kept safe, as the air strikes hit the area indiscriminately, where war crimes have been committed, according to the Secretary general of the united nations.
“I, my wife and three children do not have any other choice but to stay waiting our death, as we cannot leave the city to Turkey or even to any other area around, due to the siege imposed by the regime forces” he explained.
In regard to living conditions, Yusuf mentioned that they were no longer concern about hunger, or electricity or water even fuel despite the near winter, as their safety was the main concern. He added that they receive food from the aid are distributed by relief organisation.
In pain Khoja, the tailor, completed his story: “I gathered myself and courage and decided to go out to bring some stuff to my family, the soon I walked in the street, I found it empty, and out neighbourhood of Kalasa was extremely change due to extensive destruction. I saw ambulance rushing to help victims of the air strike, I saw a head here, and a hand or a leg there, a man screaming here and a woman crying there, and the civil defense trying to drag a victim from under the rubble. I tried to return back to my house having no idea about the fate of my 9, 7 and two years old kids”.
Khoja ended: “we did not know that our call for freedom would cost us that much of blood and destruction, we did not expect that the world would stop against and a country like Russia would defend the regime that much and justify war crimes by different reasons.”
The Syrian regime and Russian warplanes have bombed the besieged area of Aleppo with more than 1900 raids in 10 days at an average of 1 in 4 of these raids contain cluster, jolting, phosphorous and vacuum bombs.
Medical sources reported that more that 440 civilians were killed including 100 child, 2000 civilians injured with variable degrees of injuries. Many victims were amputated due to lack of medical equipment in hospitals.
