(Zaman Al Wasl)- An Israeli air strike hit a ballistic missile base north of Damascus late on Friday, local activists said.
The new target of the Israeli air force was the 155th Brigade near Qutaifa town in the eastern Qalamoun region where the base is believed to host Scud missiles.
Pro-regime media outlets denied the Israeli airstrike reports.
According to Reuters, Israel says it has struck arms convoys of the Syrian military and its Lebanese ally, the Iran-backed Hezbollah, nearly 100 times in recent years.
Israeli officials have expressed alarm at Iranian influence in Syria, where Iran-backed groups have played a critical role fighting in support of President Bashar al-Assad during the conflict that erupted in 2011.
