Simeone: I want Atletico to keep improving and that's why I stay
After a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Real Madrid, Diego Simeone suggested that he wants to continue seeing improvements from his Atletico side and that's why he stays at the club.

His words infer that he will remain in the red and white half of Madrid, despite interest from some of Europe's best clubs."I want the club to keep improving and that's why I'm staying because I think we can keep growing," he said to beIN Sports after the match.

"I try to do everything possible so that everyone who grows the club stays."We work to improve the team, and whenever the team improves, the club will improve."Antoine Griezmann was Atleti's goalscorer on the day, and the Frenchman impressed his coach again."

He is a great footballer, mentally strong," Simeone continued."He didn't have a good start and he knows it, but it isn't easy to reinvent yourself as he did in December."

Though many teams would be happy with a point away from home, particularly against Real Madrid, Simeone wanted all three in order to keep putting pressure on Barcelona.

"I'm not happy because we wanted to win," he noted."They started better and it was difficult for us to get involved, but we created danger and we responded immediately to their goal."I leave with a sour taste."
