12 rebels killed in rocket attack near Latakia: sources
(Zaman Al Wasl)- At least 12 rebel fighters were killed when regime forces shelled their vehicle with Kornet rocket in the northwestern province of Hama, sources told Zaman al-Wasl Sunday.

Al-Ankawi road, a strategic supply route links between Latakia province and Jisr al-Shughour region, has become a key target for regime army for hunting rebels.

4 more fighters were killed in rocket attack hit their vehicle.

Rebels say the provocations of regime army have increased in the coastal region after the Turkish army set up its 12 observation points in areas overlooking on the Bashar al-Assad’s stronghold in Latakia province, rebel commander told Zaman al-Wasl.

Last week, regime artillery pounded the opposition-held areas in coastal Latakia province on Saturday, following rebels' attacks on regime checkpoint and killing at least six troops, activists said.
