(Zaman Al Wasl)- At least 19 troops from coastal Tartus province were killed in September, pro-regime news feeds said.
Most of slain soldiers have been killed by Daesh and the US-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in eastern and southern Syria. The death toll included two army officers and a Major General.
The slain soldiers were operating in the Fourth Armored Division and in the Air Force Intelligence.
The Alawites-dominated areas are still the main manpower supply for Bashar al-Assad's regime.
More than 125,000 pro-regime forces have been killed in seven years of brutal war, according to local monitoring groups.
