Israeli tanks and armored vehicles invaded the city of Al-Baath in the Quneitra countryside in southern Syria, where occupation soldiers expelled employees from government departments under the pretext of inspection, local activists said on Monday.
This move comes within a series of recent Israeli military movements in southern Syria.
The Syrian Interior Ministry announced last Thursday that the Israeli army had withdrawn from a number of towns in the western Daraa countryside, namely: "Jamla, Al-Shajara, Beit Qara, Koya, Maariyah, and Saida", after entering them earlier.
In the same context, the Israeli occupation army had reinforced its deployment in the town of "Hadar" last Thursday, located in the "Mount Hermon" area within the Syrian Golan Heights.
The town is about 75 kilometers southwest of the capital Damascus, in a move that shows the continued tension in the region.
